HD Radio Top Advertiser
The biggest radio advertisers, those who spent the most money in 2008, came from a variety of industries and categories, but Media Monitors has reported that the top twenty list was driven by commercials for Automotive Sales & Service, Television, and Fast Food industry.
The #1 radio advertiser in 2008 for radio was the HD Digital Radio Alliance with an incredible 1.69 million spots running. Coming in right behind them, at #2 was Wal-Mart with 1.64 million, while Geico was #3 with 1.56 million. Continuing down the list was Verizon took the #4 slot running 1.24 million and Home Depot was #5 with 1.22 million spots.
The top list was compiled from reviews and monitors completed in 77 radio markets, 35 TV and cable markets and 40 newspaper markets.
