The Boston Acoustics Horizon Solo is very compact and is only 5 inches tall by 8 inches wide by 6 inches deep when oriented horizontally. What is neat is you can flip it on its side to fit into the tight spaces. And the circular control panel can rotate accordingly, so that the knobs of the Horizon Solo LCD screen are always level. The design is a model of simplicity and it has just three knobs which are volume, mode, and tuning, as well as two buttons that toggle the dual alarms.
The Solo's audio performance was a worthy follow-up to older the Boston Acoustics Recepter. The radio reception was excellent, and HD Radio reception was so high quality that static was nonexistent on all but the most distant local stations. Audio quality was full and rich, with very clear definition.
