Mercedes offering HD Car Radios

Mercedes is now offering HD Radio in several of its 2009 model year vehicles. They join the likes of BMW and Jaguar. HD Car Radios will be offered on all 2009 Mercedes SUV's as well as 2009 Mercedes E-Class.

The free digital AM/FM HD radio service is part of Mercedes' new generation of high tech entertainment systems that were developed for the M-, R-, GL- and G-Class SUV's as well as the E-Class model lineup.

Mercedes said that HD Radio technology will serve to enhance their digital entertainment and information system today and it also has the potential to significantly expand the options available to consumers in the future. They said that they will continue to review the best technologies and are committed to providing customers with the latest and greatest technology, as well as the next-generation in-vehicle entertainment technology.
